crikey we are in another hemisphere that snuck up on me!

We left Minerva Reef and set off for NZ Minerva was very beautiful the range of blues was
amazing. We had about 20 other boats there scattered around the atoll. There
was some socialising and chatting about......yes you guessed it the weather!
People started drifting out monday but many are waiting until friday. We are
using GFS for our weather GRIB files which seems ok for this area about 10% light than the reality but
good direction. We are heading west across the top of the high and intend to
follow the winds as they become more easterly an we can head south.

not sure i like the sound of what friends already in NZ are telling us of the requirement for the socks, jumpers and blankets but guess we
will have to cope! Mind you i am in full oillies and boots on deck at night
now so i can see it is getting cooler,
