Good morning readers
lovely blue sky, the gentle swish of water past the hull at the moment it is lovely. I need to store this memory away for times when it is frustrating or unpleasant! We had a quiet night partially because suspecting that the wind would go up overnight i took the main down....the wind di not go up so we were a little underpowered but hey ho that is sailing i guess.
still constant debating in my head about weather forecasts, routes an the best way to go especially now as we are about 550 miles from our turn to starboard to start our rounding of the Galapagos and head W but in the way there are normally large areas of little wind. I would like to think that the mental debate will ease then ....who am i kidding i know me it will go on until we have made landfall!
For some of you you might not have heard that we are also conducting a carrot storage experiment, and true to my science
based training we have a control group as well. There are 2 theories on
test:
1 do carrots keep better wrapped in newspaper or not
2 do carrots keep better with the ends cut off (which are the bits which
always seem to go bad first)
so we have 4 groups :
with ends trimmed wrapped in paper
with ends trimmed in plain air
with ends on in paper
with ends on in plain air
this major research project will be reported on in due course!
or have we started going do lally already!
