We are in the vicinity of the Galapagos Islands, which we decided not to visit for all sorts of reasons, and we are now shaping a course more westward. The balance for the next 700 miles is how far to go south to get better winds or to stay at 3 degrees south and have less chance of squalls. Once we get to about 100W we can sail a great circle route hopefully
