Hi all
well we are at the point of leaving French Polynesia from Maupiti where we had the pleasure of swimming with Manta rays , these massive gentle beasts glide along under the water with such majesty it was a real pleasure to be close to them trying to keep up. Maupiti was an absolute delight. Now it is back to sea for the 12-14 day passage to Tonga. The forecast is a real mixed bag but we cannot really wait as there is an increase in wind tomorrow which could make the pass out of this lagoon to rough so we intend to get going probably under engine for 12 hrs and then pick up the wind. This passage might bring back memories of sailing in the uk as we are likely to start getting frontal systems crossing us meaning watches will have a lot more sail trim than we have grown used to!
