We are about 50 miles from Minerva Reef still have the boat off our starboard quarter. the moon has just set and once again there is a dot to dot of stars peppering the ink black sky. It is easy to see how people of old, who would have seen these sights since their environment was not light polluted, were able to draw images from these stars.....mind you how they explained what they could see to anyone else is a mystery " see that star there and the 3 below it in a triangle ....it looks like a rooster.....what do you mean which star....that one....which one are you looking at...the one in the sky...fat help you are!"

anyway i digress.... we have an eta at the entrance to the reef at about 1200 local time so hopefully the wind will hold until then it would be shame to motor the last bit
