Skiing in the desert, where else but in
Dubai?
Ski Dubai the worlds third largest indoor
ski slope, is built into the Mall of the Emirates one of the worlds largest
shopping malls. The 60 metre high mountain has five slopes a quarter pipe
for boarders and a snow play area with toboggan runs.

We decided it was one of
those must do things. It's quite bizarre putting ski cloths on over shorts and
t-shirts, you walk in from humid conditions outside to - 4 degrees.
  Don't we look cool in matching
outfits.

down, the longest run is 400 metres.
  There was even and chair lift
and an alpine cafe.

Gavin hadn't skied
for nearly 20 years but he soon got the hang of it....the Arabs get kitted
out in full length padded coats and ride the chair
lift.
