Shelter Bay Marina, Panama Canal

We arrived at Shelter Bay marina on the 7th February and have spent the last few days provisioning and preparing the boat for the transit. Paul was a line handler for Fai Tira so he transitted on the 9th and 10th with them so at least we sort of know what to expect. It's all a bit nerve racking!

Amy and Jack arrived late last night after almost 24 hours of travelling, they were very tired but it was lovely to see them! We're transitting the canal today and tomorrow. We will start to transit at the Gatun Locks today at about 5.00-5.30 our time (10.00-10.30pm UK). We stop over night in the Gatun Lake and then transit Miraflores Locks tomorrow at about 11.00-11.30 am our time (4.00-4.30pm UK). You can watch us transitting the canal on the Panama Canal webcams here http://www.pancanal.com/eng/photo/camera-java.html?cam=Gatun so keep an eye out for us! We'll be rafted up with two other boats with Jackamy in the centre.
