Friday 21st May
When we realised last night that
we had used every last drop of our water we knew we were in trouble. We had to
have a couple of cans from Blue Magic just to get the watermaker working as it
uses water to purge the system but still we had no luck; the water in the bay
just wasn't clean enough, so we've moved next door to Robinsons Cove in Opunohu
Bay and it is beautiful. We're anchored in around 7 metres of water, we can
clearly see the sea bed and there are rays swimming all around the boat -
it's fantastic and perfect for making water! It was here that Anthony Hopkins'
version of 'The Bounty' was filmed so we are trying to find someone who has a
copy so that we can watch it.
We ate a picnic ashore with Miss
Tippy and had a wonderful afternoon in perfect surroundings. Paul and Brian
re-anchored Jackamy as we were quite shallow in 3 metres of water, the girls
played on the rope swing and swam from boat to boat and Sheila and myself sat
and chatted and watched the sun go down. It doesn't get much
better!
Our party was gatecrashed by 7
dogs!
Our view - the sea one way and
the lush vegetation the other
After dinner entertainment was
hermit crab racing
The girls had fun on the swing
- you wouldn't think that Amy is older than Annie and Charli put
together
The happy crew and Jackamy at
rest for the evening
