Friday 17th September
We arrived at Marlin Marina in Cairns early
Tuesday morning and spent most of the afternoon provisioning ready for the 1200
mile sail to Darwin. When we were returning the trolley to the supermarket
we came across an exercise class with a difference, hundreds were taking
part in an aerobics class.
 Paul couldn't resist joining in
with his trolley and got a thumb's up from the instructor taking the
class.
  It was all very energetic on
the Esplanade
  The Esplanade on
Cairns foreshore includes a massive stinger-free swimming lagoon and public
BBQs.
 Cairns is all about outdoor
living.
On Wednesday our new dinghy
arrived, hoorah....... we are mobile again. We had been to the
chandlers in the morning and bought an extra long painter; we must get into
the habit of tying the dinghy on.....
