Saturday 6th November

Last night after the enchanting kecak dance we donned our party frocks and ventured up the coast to Sanur in search of Pete and Carol's (Bali Blue) house. The clue is in the boat name, but they have lived here for a number of years and consequently have a lovely house, the venue for the evenings party. The occasion...........Edy turning 60!

The house was beautiful, Edy looked stunning and it was lovely to be with everyone again. It felt like so long and I suppose that's because it has been. We arrived late in Kupang because of the starter motor problem and had to leave almost within 24 hours of arriving, we then spent 1-2 weeks cruising Indonesia with one or two boats so as not to draw attention to ourselves. And then when we arrived at Bali marina, all anyone wanted to do was leave because of the dirty, smelly, unpleasant conditions and so everyone booked up stay's in hotels and explored Bali alone.

The evening was lovely and the food was delicious. I think the homemade punch went down a treat too! The pool was soon a hive activity and the fun lasted until the early hours. A good end to our stay in Bali!
