Tuesday 30th March

Today has been a very pleasant days sailing.

Paul carried out a repair early in the morning; the genoa sheet was almost worn through near to the clew from where it has been rubbing on the spinaker pole so the end was chopped off and the sheet was re-tied through the clew - general maintenance. Paul has been experimenting with some rig changes but we're still sticking to the tried and tested rigs that work fine. He was so determined for this one rig to work, I think he tried it 4 times and each time it just didn't work. Nevermind, he can't say he didn't try, he just likes to fiddle!

And that is about all that has happened today. We all spent the afternoon reading and relaxing. Paul hasn't picked up a book to read since we started this trip in September, that shows how little we have had to do. Like I say a very pleasant day!

The seas are calm/moderate and are relatively comfortable. We've been on a port tack and reaching for a few days so the motion hasn't been too bad either. The sun is shining and Amy has finally found her sea legs!

All is well on board!
