New Years Eve
With depleted numbers but still 30 of us, we again chose ‘East
meets West’ as our venue to celebrate New Years Eve or Old Years Night as
it is called here. We arranged to meet at 8pm for drinks. It had started to
rain (monsoon style) so it was a mad dash to the restaurant which was
thankfully less than 50 metres from the boat! The tables had been set up on the
balcony so we were all relieved when the rain finally stopped an hour or so
later! By 10 pm as the rain had stopped a crowd of people soon started
gathering just below the restaurant where a BBQ, bar and reggae bad had been
set up. We joined them all later in the evening ready for the midnight
fireworks which were set off from the port and the entrance to English Harbour.
We toasted the new year with new friends! May the fun and adventures continue! HAPPY NEW YEAR Jackamy all lit up with
