Sunday 22nd November

Seas are still very rough! We're a lot higher up than all the other boats so we thought it was just us with the uncomfortable seas but it appears everyone else is experiencing horrible seas too.

Camomile had a wave come over their boat giving them a bit of a soaking so we're now keeping the hatch in the cockpit closed as the last thing we need is water in the boat. Another boat have bent their whisker pole. We offered them our spare one but it appears they've managed to sort it out. Not even half way across and things are starting to go wrong!

We've been our speed record again! 13.8 knots! We really are flying along now!

The Arc have set off today from Gran Canaria. There are 250 yachts so we're expecting to suddenly see lots of masts appearing over the horizon. I'm sure it won't happen like that though. They'll be some very quick yachts who are likely to make the crossing in about 12 days and then there will be much smaller ones. They're going in to St. Lucia so luckily they won't be taking up all the moorings in Antigua.

We've just this minute had a flying fish land on the deck. It's very sad to say but that is probably the highlight of the day!
