Saturday 21st November

We're finding it quite difficult to update this daily now as there really isn't all that much going on!

The seas have gotten much much rougher. We've had 20 -25 knots of wind and huge 5 metre swells. We manage to surf on the top of some and others we climb up to the top only to slide backwards down the other side. We're getting thrown about all over the place so it's become difficult to sleep and manouvre. But still the sun is shining and it has been a lovely day!

New top speed today....11.6 knots! We're flying along! With this speed we're hoping to catch some of the smaller yachts up as we've still got another 2 weeks to go.

Possibly the highlight of the day (or the only thing that happened) was when Paul H caught a 2 ft Mahi Mahi. It was beautiful and it seemed such a shame to kill him but we do need feeding! The boat was getting a right mess when we killed the fishes so instead of a wack to the head with a winch handle this time we decided to pour some gin (cheap gin) down his gills!
