Tuesday 1st March

Our first night with the oil field

Practicing closing up.......the back row boats were catching up quickly

A Pakistani Plane flies over and a fighter jet

Green water, full of algae.............A dead flying fish that we found in the cupboard

Motor-sailing..........A wave from Mark

Dolphins at the bow

Skiffs racing towards the boats....we start to panic....but they were heading out to sea to fish!

Starting to relax so we fish and catch a...Mahi Mahi.......and, a tuna for the Tippys

Miss Tippy picked up the buoy with the tuna attached

The Vasco de Gama Rally sailing as a large group...Charlie in charge of Miss Tippy

4 boats on the back row when Jacabel joined......Island Kea and Sol Maria on the front line alongside us

2 targets up ahead on the radar. The one to port is a tanker, we can tell by the size, but the one 6 miles ahead was very small and cause for concern

Pirate attacks in January dotted on the chart and our 1600 mile trip from Cochin

Closer inspection

Sometimes the attacks were too close for comfort. The closest was 28 miles from our route. We altered our course because the attacks were on our path, instead we passed them by 10 miles
These attacks are from January and February, we don't have all the attacks on screen but you can get the picture. There were even more along the coast of India, further south and in the Gulf of Aden. This is serious!
