Thursday 17th Feb
 
We've been out for 24 hours now and so far so good. We had to alter course quite dramatically when we realised we were heading through the centre of a huge oil field, and as it would be during the night we decided it'd be safer to make a detour. Since then we have altered course again after a new piracy incident was brought to our attention and although it's not yet confirmed, our course at the time would take us too close for comfort. The wind is currently on the beam and we're sailing between 7 and 7.5 knots. The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day!
