We only had a short hop into Ao Chalong where we were collecting our passports with our Indian visas in and checking out of Thailand. The passports arrived at 2 pm, much to everyone's relief, as there had been suspicions among the group that we were part of a scam, and then there was a mad rush to check out with customs, immigration and the harbour master. We decided to wait until the morning when the offices would hopefully be quiet. The main priority was locating more antibiotics for Paul and amazingly Jack and Amy succeeded and just bought them over the counter. He has also given in to taking the other tablets. I think he's a bit worried about his foot now and realises that it isn't that important that he can't drink for a few days!

After a quiet night, we were all up bright and early to get all our jobs done before early afternoon so that we could make our way around to Patong Bay. Jack and Amy refuelled all the jerry cans, Amy checked us out of Thailand, Paul and Jack collected our mainsail and genoa and Amy and myself re-provisioned the boat, all in a few hours, which is impressive when everything is taking Paul twice as long as he's hobbling around. We had time for one last delicious beef mussaman curry at the Tamarind Bar on the waterfront and then we left for Patong.
