Tuesday 6th April

Selfridges was a great day out yesterday. The chinese was our chosen lunch venue, we had 3 duck salads and a bottle of sauvignon blanc! Whilst eating our friend John walked past, we hadn't seen him since we met him with Paul and Jack in Madeira so he shared a glass of wine with us. A lovely day!

The seas have calmed down considerably now and we had a beautiful night sail. We were doing between 7 and 9 knots but it felt as if we weren't moving, the boat was just gliding through the water. And we still have good winds, nothing below 15 knots and sometimes it's up to 25 knots.

We're working on it being only 3 more sleeps until we get there. If the weather stays like this it's likely to be Saturday afternoon and if we should start to go slower then it's likely to be Sunday. Either way we're nearly there! We were saying today that it seems as if breaking the whisker pole was such a long time ago. We even questioned whether it was on this trip or the sail to the Galapagos, but it was this crossing. It feels like we've been out here so long!
