Another rough night last night, whilst dishing up the bangers and mash with onion gravy Paul's bowl tipped up on the worktop and one of sausages had a roll around on the floor! He didn't need to know that though did he!?! Later on during the night we were graced with squalls and lightening, they didn't cause too much of a problem though, infact they brighten up the watches.

I forgot to mention yesterday that whilst we were bobbing about waiting for Roundabout to catch up so that we could buddy up with them after their fire, a huge wave came over the side of the boat just after I had opened the side hatch in the kitchen as I was cooking dinner. The water gushed through like a waterfall and soaked myself, the food and the cooker! I was not impressed, especially when the hobs wouldn't work. After a day of drying out they do appear to be working again now, thankfully!

More bad news from the another rally boat today. During the night Camomile lost a clevis pin in a cap shroud and was in danger of losing her rig. They have manged to secure the rig and mast by lashing ropes around it all and securing it somehow to the deck. Understandably they can't sail so they are having to motor in 15-20 knots of wind, how frustrating and no doubt very uncomfortable. Lucy Alice and Enchantress are close by and will stand close by until they all reach the Galapagos. We're all keeping our fingers crossed and thinking of them.

On board Jackamy things are going well apart from the uncomfortable seas. It's much better to have rough seas though than spend 5-6 days motoring so it's not all bad. We've even had a game of I-Spy today - things are going well!
