Thursday 28th
January
We are on that sleigh ride again and had a rather
uncomfortable night. It was almost impossible to sleep down below so
we elected to stay on deck and grab some sleep when we could.
We are heading towards the 4,000 meter depth contour line, where we
then start heading towards San Blas. It's a bit of a dog leg but we are hoping
to avoid the big seas and stronger winds you get closer to the land. The other
rally boats that are a few days in front had an uncomfortable night with winds
reaching 35-40 knots and we think we might just catch the end of the bad weather
they are experiencing on Friday. Great...
The seas have remained lumpy all day and I think it will be
another night sleeping on deck. At least the nights are light so we can see the
waves coming!
We have just over 2 days to go, lets hope the seas improve!
