That’s it - The big genoa is safely in the bag and the little self tacking jib is rigged and working.
Everything went to plan, I chose a good time, slowed the boat right down even managed to semi-flake the genoa so it nearly fits in it’s bag. Of course doing it early in the lighter conditions means that we’re going to be quite slow for a while and no doubt I will have lost more ground this way but it’s the right decision for me and the boat and we’re in good shape for the last stage of the journey.
I’ve also made up some sandwich fillers for the next couple of days, Tea tonight will be left over chili and jacket potato - there’s no way I’m going hungry.
Sea conditions at the moment are OK with just the odd slam or two which slow you right down. (Just had a massive wash of water over the deck as I type).
Nothing showing on the AIS and the usual couple of birds flying around.
Other than that, nothing much to report
