I managed a decent start (for me!) deliberately keeping over to the other end of the start line.

The wind went a bit light once we had cleared the mouth and I struggled down to the manacles having to tack out to get round the cardinal buoy.

The wind has filled in now (10kts) and is a lot more easterly than the forecast so I’m currently heading in a straight line for the Azores rather than heading west like I thought we would have to.

So all good on board- Goulash for tea tonight.....
