We left Wippari Cay and headed out to Jacks Cay, which on the map looked like a protected little anchorage for NE to E winds. We headed across the Victoria Chanel, motoring again, as the little wind we had was on the nose. We had a couple of waypoints but the charts in this area, although reasonably accurate do not hold a lot of detail, we used the good old eyeball navigation again. As the sun became higher, the colours were easier to see.
This unusual cloud formation and colour took our attention and as i was taking a photo a small pod of small dolphins decided to come and play. As per usual, the photos i got were tails as they entered the water or half submerged fins but wonderful none the less.

The blue Belize waters

We had a call from Daniel and Piedad on 'Jodi M', who were at Pelican Cays and said they would motor down and join us at Jacks Cay. We arrived at the Cay together, and after negotiating the shallow bar entrance found ourselves in a very tight and shallow anchorage of this small mangrove island. The holding was not good, so we made the decision to follow 'Jodi M' to Rendezvous Cay, where Daniel and Piedad had been before. We anchored in coral sand (after dragging over rocky ground) and settled in to the windy conditions to come. We spent 2 nights here in comfortable conditions (no rock and roll). The winds came from the NE mainly and ranged between 15 to 25kts. Not terrible and with the anchor alarm set on the hand held GPS i managed to sleep quite well.
Rendezvous Cay as seen from the southern side of the island. We anchored on the other side of the long low area.

'Jodi M' anchored next to us at Rendezvous where we spent the first nights happy hour. The second night Daniel, Piedad and Nokia came to 'Five Islands'. Wonderful company. We hope to catch up with them again soon.
