Waiting for some wind 16:06.5N 087:51.9W

It's just after 1300 hours and we are slowly motoring towards Cabo Tres Puntas, the point where we turn to head down towards the entrance to the Rio Dulce. It is still about 48 nm away, and then we have another 10 nm to Livingston. We managed to hold the wind and sail until 0830 this morning, which was better than we expected, but then the wind dropped and we have been motoring with one engine ever since. The wind is just starting to build again so hopefully we will have sails up again soon. As soon as the wind stops it gets very hot so we look forward to some wind for a couple of reasons.

We had a lovely cooked breakfast this morning of bacon and eggs, fried tomato and plantains (a large cooking banana) cooked in cinnamon and rum - just what was needed. The wind is just starting to look like it may be enough to raise the sails so I'll give it another 15 minutes or so and then wake Sue and see if we can't do some sailing. Like all trips it always seems that the last few miles take the longest and this is true of this one as well.
