Five Islands

Arrived at this anchorage on Monday. It is part of a chain of islands connected by reef & sand. It rained and was over cast all yesterday, so after scrubbing the outside of the boat and washing our hair in rain water (a real treat) it was a quiet one spent reading & snoozing (we had been up during the night for 2 hours collecting rain water). After doing the washing (by hand - Oh how i miss the washing machine) we ventured out in the dinghy this morning, exploring the islands further west. Mostly covered in mangroves, so more bities. We had intended going snorkelling but it has grown overcast again, so looks as though it's another good afternoon for reading and nanny napping. We may move tomorrow, mainly to a less bug prone area, and also a prettier vista (you know white sands and coconut palms). We are the only boat here and we are finding that there are very few yachts about. The radio net did a count this morning and came up with 30 in the whole of the San Blas. No photos again as we are finding that including photos takes way too long to send via the satellite phone so will have to include lots when we are closer to civilisation and better internet connection. Happy Birthday to our daughter Peta for the 28th and hope that the trip to Fiji with Ashton (our other daughter) is sensational. John & Sue
