Well it is Saturday evening at the Coco Bandero and it has been an unusual last couple of days. Yesterday several million dollar plus luxury motor yachts started to arrive at the Coco Bandero anchorage and by lunchtime today we had 10 of them surrounding us. They are all Panamanian boats, obviously some of the better off of the population. We spent some time with some of them this afternoon along with some other cruisers we have met. We found them extremely friendly and easy to talk to (as they spoke far better English than we speak Spanish). One boat arrived yesterday and about an hour later a helicopter landed on the beach and dropped off the kids. Will be nice when they head off though so we can enjoy the solitude of this lovely spot (no kids, jet skies or loud Panamanian music). We snorkelled a reef just off the back of the boat yesterday. John saw a school of about 100 small Barracuda and one just under a metre long swam past me from behind, eyeing me all the way. A bit eerie as my eye sight with a mask (and minus my glasses obviously) is fairly limited' so he passed fairly close to me. John located a lobster yesterday, who played hide and seek and would not come out of it's hole to be our dinner. We will revisit him tomorrow and see how good John is getting with the hand spear. Really enjoying it here and have no plans of moving on yet.
