Neptune is sending us fair winds so far. We are 3 days out of the Galapagos and are averaging about 150nm per day being assisted with 10-15kt winds from the SE and a slight current. The days have been sunny and warm, although the evenings have been a little cool. We have been sailing with a reefed main and full to reefed Genoa, although we will probably put the main fully up today as the wind is dying a little. The seas are fairly calm with a 1-2 metre swell and so much easier to take rather than beating and slamming into them, although 'Liseron' still slams, but not as much. Yesterday was a fish day - 4 Mahi Mahi (Dolphin fish) so fresh fish for dinner last night. They are a beautiful fish and exceptionally good eating. Tonight we will have one of Nigel's Fish Curry's using the 'Life's Good' curry we bought at the Eumundi markets and brought back over with us. That makes 7 fish so far underway. We have also been collecting squid and flying fish off the deck each morning. Most we are keeping for bait but the fresh squid we will have for dinner tonight (Calamari). I was sitting at the helm on watch last night when something wet and cold hit me in the face. After an exclamation (what the….) I turned on the head lamp to discover a squid had hit me. I promptly picked it up, tentacles wriggling and all, and put it in the fridge. You can't get fresher than that. We have 5000nm to go to Suva and calculate our arrival time there around the 2nd week in July (if we maintain around 6 knots).
