A quick update. We left Shelter Bay Marina at 10am this morning and motored very slowly to Portobelo. We were planning on going to Isla Linton but since we were only averaging about 3 knots we decided to spend the night in Portobelo. We have anchored pretty much in the same place as we did last time we were here about 15 months ago, it is calm, cool and peaceful (and free). So good not to be paying marina fees. We have just checked the weather forecast and conditions are not expected to improve in the near future so we will head off early in the morning and bash our way around the corner to Isla Linton and have our new bimini fitted. After that, we will wait for some better conditions and then head to the San Blas for a while.
