Change of plan, we stayed another day at Beqa Island so Tuesday was a quiet day. Sue and I went for a snorkel from the boat directly in front of the Lalati Resort in the afternoon. I wasn't expecting much but we were both surprised by the quantity and variety of fish. The coral was patchy but there were fish everywhere. We left the island at around 10am this morning (Wednesday) and headed back to Suva Harbour. Both water tanks were empty so was a good opportunity to run the water maker and fill them up as we can't run it in Suva Harbour due to the poor water quality. We picked up a mooring near the old Tradewinds Hotel (now the Novatel) in a nice protected little anchorage. The moorings are free which is nice.

Received an email from Terry and Elaine to say that they are in Savu Savu and will be coming over this way next week sometime with Des and Carole, but all going well we should be on our way by then. The weather looks very good for a crossing to Noumea right now though and I would like to get going ASAP. Nigel has his French visa approved for New Caledonia, and he has just found out that his Australian visa has also been approved. So we just need to extract a couple of digits and get the mainsail changed over and refuel and go.
