We continue to motor SW @ 232 deg with the wind on the nose. The current continues to be quite strong resulting in 40 - 50 Deg difference between our heading and the Course Over Ground (COG). Seas are still sloppy/choppy and it is still rocking and rolling. We had a sea bird (not sure what it was) roost on the bow rail all last night. He/she clung on and rode the ups and downs with grace, although the occasional wave gave it a wash. Looking at the bird poo it left on the dolphin seat at the front, perhaps more waves washing over the area would have saved us a clean up job. We have had 2 flying fish and another small fish on the back deck so far tonight. It is usual to find flying fish or squid in the mornings having jumped on board sometime during the night. We have been at sea for over a week now and for 3 of us this is the longest time away from shore. We are all still talking and have settled into a routine between our respective shifts/watches. We are currently 245 nm from Galapagos. We plan on stopping at Wreck Bay on Isla San Cristobal.
