The wind found us today. It was just enough to put up the Genoa at 6am and we were under full sail by 10.30am. The only hassle is that it is on the nose, so 3 more tacks today to continue on our SW course to Isla Malpelo (waypoint on the way to the Galapagos). The seas have been sloppy (chop on a small swell) and we have been doing a bit of rock and rolling with the boat slamming a fair bit (the bridge between the hulls is quite low and the waves come up between the hulls and hit the bridge deck). We did reach a new speed record (so far for us in this boat) of 7.5 knots. No fish again today. It has been cloudy/overcast all day. We have just lowered the sails and again under motor heading 255 deg. No ships on the AIS all day so we are hoping we have left the main shipping routes. I made bread yesterday so we had fresh toast for breakfast which was good. Not much else to report as it has been a quiet day.
