Just a couple of extra photos (the last blog update was posted before it was finished).  The north end of Florida Bay breaks up into a number of ‘Sounds’ and ‘Basins’ with narrow channels leading from one into the other. These are all on the mainland side of Key Largo.
This is an interesting way to store your catamaran to keep the bottom clean. It was a massive hydraulic lift platform.

This is bridge #2 at Jewfish Creek. There is a large hotel on the right and a ‘dock and dine’ restaurant on the left.

As we approached bridge #3 at the northern end of Barnes Sound, a storm came in from the west and obscured our view. We circled for about 30mins waiting for it to blow itself out then we proceeded through just before the catamaran in the photo proceeded under. We would have about the same amount of clearance.

Pumpkin Key was a lovely anchorage in the southern end of Card Sound. As with the other places we had spent overnight, we were the only ones here. Calm and quiet.
