We left Moorea Saturday afternoon and headed for Raiatea

We arrived in Raiatea early Sunday morning and headed for Faaroa bay.  Sunsail used to have a base there, but are no longer, but mooring buoys are still there and are maintained.  Hotel and restaurant which was supposed to be there was shut down and nowhere obvious to take the dinghy ashore.

We headed up a river in the Dinghy and a local chap on a canoe was rowing with us and telling us about the area.  The scenery was beautiful..  lots plants and birds singing.

This morning we headed for Uturoa which is the main town on this island.  We are currently tied up at the town quay.  As it is a bank holiday, nothing is open and there is nothing much here anyway..

As I write this, it is blowing a strong wind blowing us onto the quay..  it is pouring with rain and it really does not feel that warm!!!
