We have now had two night at sea.  The first night I did not get much sleep and as a result did not feel too good yesterday.  Not able to keep any food down.  I know I could do with loosing a bit of weight, but this is ridiculous.  I feel much better today after a really good night sleep.  We are now doing 3 hour watches at night, one person at a time so this should enable us to get reasonable amount of sleep.  The first night we were steering by hand but last night we had the autopiolot running, which makes it a lot easier.  I am really pleased that both our crew, Tom and Caroline do not seem to be affected by sea sickenss at all.  We have seen dolphins on both afternoons, the first day about 6.20pm and yesterday a bit earlier about 5pm.  We seem to be on their plans for an afternoon visit.  We got a couple of pictures, not very good but at least more than just sea..
I think we are planning to test the Parasailor today so we will see how much difference that will make to our speed -  Katrin

Making slightly slower progress than planned up to now, despite hitting 11 knots surfing off the large ocean swell in a F7 south of Gran Canaria. The ARC fleet are mostly north and west of us but we are now in good Trade Winds and are aiming to be positioned to cross South of the expected Low maintaining best speed. My main concern is that we are eating so much that I will put on weight rather than losing it.

Aim to get the Parasailor up now that we are mostly going downwind and it is a beautiful day; yesterday we ( the yacht that is) were reaching quite a lot ( actually someone I will not name was retching a bit as well but I won't bring that up!).We should speed up today- Steve
