Yesterday morning we hired a taxi for two hours to take us round parts of
St Kitts which was very interesting. We went to a old plantation where the
main house has now been converted into a batik workshop. The garden
were beautiful with lots of different palms and trees and we found out
a bit about the history of the place from a locals point of view. We then
drove to the south of the island and saw some beautiful views accross the
southern end which they have quite recently built a road and was only
available to the fit walkers in the past.
We then sailed a short sail across to Nevis and decided to stop in
Tamarind Bay for one night.
This morning we are going to head for f:Pinneys beach and
anchor there. We need to be close to Charlestown to enable us to
clear out of customs tomorrow and head for Monserat.
Pictures to follow once we have broadband access...
