We spent last night at Ua Pou on
anchor.
We arrived in time for lunch and enjoyed splendid
views of the island with all it's mountins. Quite a few of the rally boats
were there and we spent early evening on board Peragrina
playing a game of nautical quiz and having a few
drinks and nibbles. after that we returned back to Island Kea for a bit of
cooking.
Last night there was a large swell with a lot of
rain so not the best of nights.
This morning Tom rowed over to 'Spirit of Nina' to
fill up a couple of 20L cans of Water and I had a shower and tea and bisquits -
so we are not suffering too badly..
We are now heading for Rangaroa which is 500 miles
away, so 3 nights at sea ahead.....
We are now more confident that we know what the
problem is with the Generator, it is likely to be the heat exchanger and we are
now trying to find out where we can get it from and there are two
possible
people in Tahiti who can fix it so we are quite
hopful.
We have booked ourselves into a marina in Tahiti
from 3rd of May for a week and we should then have mains electricity and most
importantly water...
All is good. sun is shining, currently
motoring as in windshadow of the island but should catch wind
soon....
