Yesterday we went on a 4 wheel drive trip round the Island

We saw wonderful views and went to look at 2 places where they did their sacrifices to the gods.

When human sacrifices were made, the men sacrificed were not local men but prisoners of war.

Women were never sacrificed as they were not considered pure enough.

They then ate the brains etc as they believed that they would get all the knowledge the person had.

We understand that it is probably only appx 150 years since the last human sacrifice – not that long really..
