We spent the night at anchor off the island
Isle Viveros. There are lots of Pelicans who keep bomb diving all round
the boat.
This island is supposed to be uninhabited but we
saw a small airplane land on the island so there must be an airstrip and a car
on shore so there must be some form of human life.
We went swimming off the boat but the sea is not so
clear here.
This morinng a fishing boat came close to us asking
for cigarettes in exchange for fish, but I'm afraid that we don't have currency
of this sort with us!
We are planning to leave for Galapagos about 2pm
today local time.
How long the passage takes will depend on the
winds.
As we will be passing the convergence zone anything
can happen.
We are pretty well fuelled up and we are about to
give the watermaker a test and I just hope it works as 8 days without a shower
would not go down too well with me.
We now feel that at last we have finished
preparations and we are actually cruising now, not spending all our time on
repairs and maintenance.
the new car stereo is great.. Tom did a good
job of fitting this.
