Arrival in Bassaterre - St Kitts.

We left British Virgin Islands yesterday afternoon with mixed feelings and regret as we could easily have spent several more weeks there.
We will definetely come back next year.
The crossing was with not much wind so we had to motor quite hard into swollen seas and then found that the prop shaft and propella are making a lot of noise and we are concerned that one of the bearings is worn.  We need to have her lifted out soon to take a look.  Luckily the wind changed direction slightly and increased a bit which enabled us to get the self tacking staysail out and motor sail and reduce the revs to an acceptable level.

We did not get a lot of sleep but do not feel too bad.  I really love these overnight passages with the sky full of stars and it really makes me happy.

We are going to explore St Kitts for a few hours this afternoon and expect to leave for Nevis, next island in the morning and stay there for a couple of days...
More soon....
