Island Kea Has now arrived in the Med.  She is still on the ship ‘Palmerton’ waiting to be unloaded.

All 20 BWR yachts were shipped from Salalah to Marmaris in Turkey as we decided it would be high risk and irresponsible to sail.

After the experience of sailing across the North Indian Ocean and getting the news on our passage of the Pirates taking Quest and everyone on board being shot everyone was feeling the strain.  Also hearing about the ING certainly did not make us want to take the risk.

16 yachts were unloaded yesterday so just 4 to go.  The berth is not available today as there is another cruise liner coming in so Island Kea will sit on the Palmerton today on anchor.

We used the time well yesterday to clean the prop and give the bottom of the boat as good clean as we could.  We were also able to replace some of the Annodes.

The skipper on the Palmerton is really nice and does not mind us making a bit of a mess on his deck.

Island Kea got loaded in Salalah at last on the 26th of May just in time to get our flight that afternoon to go back to the UK for about 10 days.

We had a lovely time, spending as much time as possible with the family.

It was a very frustrating and upsetting period to wait for the ship as we kept getting more and more delays and never really knew what was going to happen.
