Position 11:50S 128:33E

We left Darwin yesterday as planned.
When Steve turned the instruments on we realised we had no boatspeed working and with that no actual wind speed either - not good as this was all tested the day before.
We went out of the lock, but anchored in Fanny Bay and started checking wires, pushing them in etc, and Bingo instruments started working again :-)
Jackamy were not so lucky as they found that their starter motor was not working any more and they are still in Darwin hoping to get this fixed today.

There is no wind so we are motoring but only at 1600 RPM which gives us boat speed over 6 kts as sea is calm.
We had the most wonderful display of Dolphins yesterday afternoon and they stayed with the boat for quite a while.  I got some good pictures which I will put on the blog once we get to internet
access in Kupang.
Richard our new crew member is learing about the boat and did his night watch on his own last night..  he was on 8pm to midnight so gentle start.
Tom is still in Darwin where he has bought a van which he is converting into a campervan and he has now managed to get it starting, running and stopping.  he is currently working and staying in the
yard where he bought the van and hopefully will get away before the raining season really kicks in.
so what is life like without Tom?  Quiet...... but we will get used to it..
