We hired a car for two days to have a drive round the Island.

Most of the places of interest were on the north west and south east side.

We also followed a white road on the map which turned out to be no more than a track and we drove through the jungle for about 4 km..

The dinghy had to be lifted up              lovely view..

Using a crane. – interesting work..

We went for a mid winters swim        the sea was pretty rough on the east side of the island..

With the Niue Hash House harriers

In this casm..  it was great..  mixture

Sea and fresh water..

The hirecar..                                  This was the ‘jungle road.’

Bananas were not quite ready..         sea has a lovely colour and so clear..

It was quite a challenge to get to some of       Great view of the arch on north west side..

These places…

Interesting limestone formations…

We had to climb down a long ladder down cliffs to get to a area between them with sand and palm trees

This was really like a scene out of  ‘Indiana Jones’ movie..

Lovely views at the bottom..

The ladder we had to climb down..

On our drive  there was a branch fallen and only cleared the roof bars by a centimetre or so….
