After we finally obtained our long awaited permission from the authorities in
French Polynesia, we departed quickly from our beloved Aitutaki Atoll in the
Cook Island chain in easterly direction, leaving the horrible weather behind, and
landed after a long over the water flight with constantly over 30 Knots headwind
at FAAA Papeete on Tahiti Island in the late afternoon.

At the gate, like the big boys!

This place: Unbelievably nice and well organized.

Now we know why the mutineers of the Bounty wanted to return to this Tahiti.......

Our Comanche is presently undergoing its 50 hour Inspection/ Service and we
are occupied with the preparation of our next legs of our onward trip.

Discovery of the Island of Tahiti and the neighboring Isalnds Moorea, Manihini,
Bora-Bora .... is planned as of tomorrow Friday until our departure some days
from now
