Title: Part I. Makokolo Lodge, Malawi to Viczoria Falls, Zimbabwe

Three days later, we were ready for the next highlight on our tour throughout Africa.

After a nice and interresting four hour flight over part of Mozambique and Zimbabwe, along lake Kariba, we were
approaching Victoria Falls for landing.

A spectacular view from the distance already, and even more as we approached ! More than a mile wide, impressive
masses of the Zambezi river fall down three hundred feet with an incredible thundering noise.

Here we were met by two more Zimbabwan ICS members : Lettie and Peter Weinand aswell as  Peter Brits, which each
flew up with their Twins from Harare. At this point we were also joined by Nicolas Wurmet and Richard Kohler, ICS friends
from the Geneva area, which flew up from Johannesburg in a rented Piper Arrow.

The evening of our arrival, we were kindly invited for a « Booze Cruise « on the Zambezi River, and to watch the spectacular
sunset over the water.

The next day after this fabulous cruse, and a rather late night, siting and talking- of course was our main activity on a non flying day.

A visit to town and the rain forest, to witness closely this spectacle, we remembered what we read years back about the
missionary David Livingstone, which discovered this part of the World in 1855 in the name of his Queen Victoria.
