Arrived in time for a walk in the town and ate out (rare event) at a Pizzeria called La Traviata.
The Saone has enchanted and delighted me. It's a movie by Corot. Gentle grassy banks with herds of Charolais cattle sheltering among the trees.
Picturesque towns and villages.
Bridges which are in their own way a history of France, from the Roman bridge at Chalon to the modern steel and bridges.
Avenues of trees. How the French love avenues.
It has been a feast for the eyes.
