Started again early, in light winds, from lovely Bayona. Motored past the walled battlements of the old city and out into the calm ocean. The sun stayed with us all day but the wind really picked up by mid afternoon. We found ourselves flying with a force 6 and considerable swell into the tiny harbour of Povoa de Varzim, Portugal, where we have caught our breath and are sitting in the glassed-in verandah of the club nautica bar, realising how quickly we covered 56 miles, how tired we are and that we really are in a country that neither of us has been in before. Portuguese phrase book is out on the table.
