Lazy days in Dieppe

We didn't sail today or yesterday. Instead slept in and had a late breakfast with croissants, pan de chocolat, etc.  Got on our trusty steeds again, as we did yesterday afternoon, and explored more of this old and interesting port town.  People smile or laugh at my 12" wheels (Tom has 16") but these folding bikes are great! Rode along the cliff promenade, visited the cathedral and the Norman castle whose museum featured great navigators and hydrographers as well as Sickert and Georges Braque.  Now sipping a good amber beer in a bar with wifi, looking at the weather forecast for the morning.  Looks like it's all go in a F4 and no fog if we time our relatively short hop (32 nm, 6-7 hours) to Fecamp right. Tidal streams in our favour.

Today started with a fierce southwesterly and our big neighbour boat went out to try the same route we would've been taking, and turned back. I like it when the weather helps decide but it's not always easy to know how much to believe the predictions - or just go for it.
