Beowulf is on hard standing at the Wivenhoe Sailing Club,  fitting out for the Summer's cruise to the Mediterranean. Beowulf is an Albin Vega 27. We are Tom Fenton and Faith Ressmeyer.

Last year, our first season with Beowulf, we sailed in our home waters off the Essex and Suffolk coasts, and across the Thames Estuary.

This year, 2012, we plan to sail to the Mediterranean, crossing the Bay of Biscay and round the Iberian Peninsula, visiting some of the Brittany Coast and the Spanish Rias. We aim to find somewhere to winter near Cartegena or the Mar Menor. We have a month and a half to get the boat and ourselves ready.
