In October we sailed from Brightlingsea to Ramsgate over two days, with a run through the Swale, anchoring for a night at Harty Ferry. The return passage from Ramsgate started early (here Faith is watching the sunrise, with the North Foreland lighthouse shining over her left shoulder). We sailed through Foulger's Gat despite the discouragement of the London Array construction guard vessel. The day started calm (we motored from 0600 to 0800), but the wind rose to F6 in the afternoon. Nevertheless it was a 12 hour passage, largely because we did not attempt to cross Sunk Sand at LW.
