To Dover in fog

Just tied up in Dover. Left Ramsgate at 0900 in fine weather but light airs. Motored to the Downs. Detected a breath of wind, from the south. On the nose. But the south going tide is so strong it was worth tacking down to the South Foreland. Immediately the fog came down. Motored to the 10m contour line in St Margaret's Bay and followed it round to Dover harbour east entrance, where the fog lifted. Tom
